R3991SS BR, A3 Class, 'Flying Scotsman'

The exceptional ‘Flying Scotsman’ underwent several renumbering's, from No. 103 to 4472 by the LNER after being rebuilt to A3 Class specification in 1947 and then to No. 60103 by BR after the nationalisation of the railways in Britain. 

After being converted to left hand drive and painted BR Green – also known as Brunswick Green – the ‘Flying Scotsman’ appeared as modelled by Hornby's R3991SS BR, A3 Class, 'Flying Scotsman' 

The model has been crafted to include the new Hornby Steam Generator, DCC Sound, as well as a Die cast footplate and flickering firebox for added realism.

Installed with a steam generator, this locomotive produces great clouds of steam which will billow through the locomotive’s chimney.

Alongside the steam, experience the joys of sound as this model includes a DCC sound decoder adding even more realism to your layout.

Featuring the Hornby steam generator, flickering firebox and lit lamp codes, the BR, A3 Class, 'Flying Scotsman' is a must-have for any collection.
