At its peak, the UK railway system was a picture of romanticism and nostalgia as it connected small towns across the country via hundreds of smaller railways.
In the past, locomotive drivers often made unplanned stops on their journey from village to village. These unscheduled pauses were used for either loading or unloading goods and supplies at various drop-off points throughout the line.
As a result, it comes as no surprise that some of the locals who relied upon the railway would have affectionately referred to their local train as 'Valley Drifter'.
This collection features a Hornby MidiMat and an oval of track that can be extended to create an array of creative layouts with the addition of various Hornby Track and Accessory Packs.
This Hornby Train Set is based on a Railroad specification. Railroad models are carefully designed to be less easily damaged yet maintain attractive detailing and accurate liveries.
